The basic stained glass class introduces students
to the copper foil method of constructing a stained
glass panel. A brief introduction about stained glass,
the making of stained glass, and the types of stained
glass will be given. The basic tools needed and their uses, and precautions to take while working with glass will be discussed. The students construct one stained glass panel from the patterns provided by Phil Ertel. Phil will provide the tools for student use, the materials for constructing the panel, including foil and glass, the use of grinders and soldering irons. Students are welcome to bring their own tools if they already have them.
